Laurie Yoler is at the forefront of one the most significant technological revolutions of our generation. She is a board member of Zoox and previously was a founding board member of Tesla. Laurie has a decisive role to play in the race to create an autonomous vehicle.

Google, Uber, GM Cruise and Zoox are in an epic business battle to launch a robotaxi service in the next few years. This technology will have a profound effect not just on mobility, but on how we imagine and create the cities of tomorrow.

Self-driving cars will save lives, alter humanities impact on the environment, and provide second and third order effects we are only just beginning to understand.

Laurie’s perspective on these changes, and how they will impact the world, are unique and well informed. Few people in the world have the diversity of experience she does, and we’re excited to announce she will be speaking at Sunrise Island.

Aside from her board roles at Zoox and formerly Tesla, she is also on the boards of Bose, Church & Dwight (CHD), Zoox, Noon Home, and the Computer History Museum, and on the advisory boards of Accenture, Platform Science, Precise.ly, AI4All, and the Washington State Frank Fellows Entrepreneurship Program. She is also an active angel investor with Broadway Angels and HealthTech Capital.

Previously she was President of Qualcomm Labs and SVP of Business Development for Qualcomm, driving new internal innovation, and exploring and closing new strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Previously, Laurie was a founding managing director at GrowthPoint Technology Partners, advising entrepreneurs in building strategic alliances, completing M&A transactions and raising capital.
